Miradouro de São Roque (Funchal)

At 338 m above sea level, in front of the parish church of São Roque. The parish was established in 1579 around a small São Roque chapel built in the early 16th century by local people with the help of municipal funds; the present church, raised in the mid-19th century on the chapel's site, has kept its original features. Benches, a view of Funchal bay and of the open Atlantic.
