Porto de Recreio de Machico

The marina of Machico, one of the most important on the east coast, with room for 80 small and medium boats up to twelve tonnes. Water and electricity are available on both pontoons; containers take general waste, recycling, oil and batteries. A promenade runs from the port to the imported-sand beach, then on to the pebble beach of São Roque. The port was awarded the Blue Flag for the first time in 2022.
