Miradouro do Palheiro Ferreiro

Inside one of the island's most carefully kept estates, on a hill east of Funchal, in the parish of São Gonçalo. The Palheiro Ferreiro estate was created in the early 19th century by the first Count of Carvalhal and owes its character to the many exotic species planted there. From the viewpoint: Funchal bay and the ragged outline of the city on the slope; beside it, Palheiro Golf, 18 holes over 6,000 m at 500 m above sea level.
