Praia de São Vicente (complexo balnear)

The lively sea of the north coast, and one of the favourite places of the island's surfers and bodyboarders. Served by a bathing complex since 2004, São Vicente beach offers support facilities for water sports — conditions here are very different from the calmer south coast — a sun deck, a restaurant and a bar. A 620 m promenade links it to the Varadouro da Baía dos Juncos (Baía do Mota), the municipality's most popular surf spot. Bathing season 2026: 1 June – 30 September, but lifeguard cover not yet confirmed. In a swell follow the flags: red = no bathing.
